I miss doing this. In fact, during my hiatus, I've been thinking of writing about stuff, a lot of them.

My blog is surprisingly inactive right now, because of a lot of stuff like... School work and playing with my new Playstation 3(my dad bought it on Thanksgiving Day Sale). Speaking of which, I heard Sony's losing money for every PS3 unit sold, Microsoft is breaking even for every XBOX360 sold while Nintendo is earning a lot for every Wii unit sold. Wow. Must be a lot of kids these days. (Ooooh! Pikachu! HAHAHA! Joke!)

Oh look. I've strayed away from my topic. Anyway, I'm blogging right now because I think it's appropriate and a damn lot of things have happened. Maybe I'm gonna comment on some. In fact, so much has happened that I didn't even get the chance to blog about my favorite soap opera(Kahit Isang Saglit) while it was still showing.

So where do I start? I didn't think it was this difficult to think about that. I thought I had it all figured out. Seriously. When I read Sir PJ's most recent blog post, I got a bit jealous and then took my wireless mouse, inserted it into a USB port and took my mouse pad. I thought it would be easy. Hmmm...

Recession in the United States of America

Not so sure about this, but I think the US admitted that they are currently in a recession which began sometime last year. Did they?

No wonder the exchange rates were going strong last year. Well, nearly a year after, they pull the economies of all nations down along with them. I remember blogging about how exchange rates are better off. But who cares, right? Everyone's going down now. The Philippine Peso(Php), which reached a 40 something rate a few months ago, is still the same right now. To some filipinos that is. Truth is, the only thing the same is the 1st digit, or 4. The current rates are around 46 and 49. That's nearly 50.

Enough of the Php thing. Again with America. Why the crisis?

My teacher in Accounting, Dr. Marivic Manalo, put it this way: Unpaid Debts.

Well, easy for the most part, right? You have pests who can't pay their debts. How's that possible? Well, in my opinion, offers make look stuff cheap, claiming low percentages of interest, but there's more to it than that. Sure, in the long run, for example, maybe people can buy a car, for example, 10% down payment, 0.5% interest. It's possible IF the only cost you have to pay for is the car itself.

It's quite easy to be deceived by that. You'd have to! I mean, it's quite a tempting offer. But once you try to envision your cost, you'd probably just plan for the cost of the car itself. It's sad how it's so stupid for someone to think that way, but even sadder is the fact that people think like that.

Once you buy the car, you'd have to incur more costs, such as Gas & Oil, Repairs & Maintenance, Insurance and Taxes. Since you forgot to think of those other costs that come with the car, you'd run out of cash in the long run. Since some debts have collaterals with them, the bank you owe would instead take your properties. Well, after that, the banks consider you paid(I think).

But really, are those properties you have, i.e. furniture, equipment, houses, what the economy really needs? Last time I checked, money was the most important thing circulating in an economy, not tables, chairs, computers, lots and houses.

Why is that? These high-cost properties are not liquid. They are not, say the least, not near to being cash in form, they can't be easily converted into cash.Since money isn't circulating very well in the economy, it would grow weak, thus, the recession. Well, that was a guess, but it sure looks plausible (I'm the one who wrote this, so, you can still doubt it).

America's First Black President

Well, in case you live in a cave, you must've heard that Barack Obama is the president-elect. Change has come to America, I guess. It's quite common for the ordinary man to go with Obama. He's young, and likeable, and he looks quite... Strong. Charismatic.

He's a democrat. That's one of the reasons he won. I think George Bush is not a very popular president, and he's a republican. Why would America go for another 4 years with a republican after one of them sent them to war with Iraq? An unnecessary one at that.

He's dark. Not evil-dark. Skin-dark. That is change in it's truest form. You don't just want to change the way the system works. You also want to change the appearance of the person in charge. Sounds stupid, right? But let's face it, a part of you wanted Obama to win because of his skin color.

He's young. He has a better distance from the current generation, so he undestands what the younger people want. We all know that even the old people want the young ones to finally step up. Obama stepped up. The chronologically advanced people must've liked that, so they voted for him.

There are probably more reasons why Obama won, but those just might be too technical. To tell you the truth, I'm not aware of their plans.

Kahit Isang Saglit (Even Just For A Moment)

Well, it's the best soap opera I've ever watched. It's... Just right. The mix of action, drama, a little bit of comedy at times made this one amazing. Since it is set in two countries, there is a noticeable blend of cultures as well.

It's so good due to the fact that it had very surprising twists and meaningful ones, at that. The short time it had only added to my amazement, because the people working on this were able to deliver a deep story without haveing to make people wait too long or rush the revelations.

This is a huge step towards the globalization of the Filipino people because we're trying to move forward into the global stage. Kudos to ABS-CBN for this. GMA was unable to make the bold move first. They'll be known for this, like Neil Armstrong and the 2nd guy on the moon, respectively.

My 2nd Trimester Just Ended

I'm just waiting for my grades now. The 2nd term was quite a ride and it was way more difficult than the 1st one.

The supposedly group or pair efforts were squeezed into one me, again. The big difference from the 1st term is that I don't ask for money anymore. Well, in the latter part of the 2nd term, that is.

It's quite a natural thing, but I close this term with a smile. I'm happy to have worked with the intelligent people (Gregorio "RJ" de Lima III & Diane Yu). At least when these people worked with me, I felt how it was to work as a team in college, because normally when I hang out with my friends, I work alone in exchange for $$$, although that has lessened, 'cause for the most part, I don't trust my fun friends. So after this term I could probably classify my friends in two, "Fun Friends" and "Smart Friends".

Next term when I'm classmates with Robert in every single subject, I want to feel again what I felt when I worked with RJ and Diane. They don't know I have a blog, but what the heck. I just want to mention them.

Unlike last term, I don't think I pulled off another Accounting Salvation. That sucks but I gues that's how it works. It's just that it feels bad to know that I'm unable to make the people around me better. Part of that, however, was due to my recent skid in the Accounting Subject. I did not focus very well on the subject due to professor issues and the much more difficult subjects, but that's that. I just hope I can make it to level 3.

Closing

Well, this is it for now.

I'll be more active now since it's quite a long break and we won't be bringing the PS3 to the States. Have a nice day. Thanks for reading!

Heroes are Overrated

Hi! Just watched the Dark Knight so...

Heroes are Overrated

Having watched The Dark Knight last night and then got a bit drunk last night(just a bit, unlike that blockbuster grad ball night), I got a good idea for a blog. And by the way, I was inspired by the movie.

You see, we all want to play the heroes because this is our story. This is our life and we definitely wish to be the hero, but really, that's not it.

To be a hero, or the hero requires us to save the asses of people. It's not just saving lives, but saving people from embarrassments and whatever you can save them from. Heroes are not amazing. Being one is all about being a role model to your people or your society, projecting the good qualities and traits, and whatever the result of your actions, people would still look at you as the hero.

This is not remarkable, because what happens is that the means justify the end. Doing the thing that is right in the eyes of society does not always give way to the much needed end.

There will be moments that we should just let the end speak for the means.

Bruce Wayne did not always do the right thing in the eyes of the people, proved by them saying the Batman should just take off his mask and turn himself in.

And what happened? He ended up saving their asses. He invaded the privacy of the people through the use of an enhanced sonar, that was a wrong thing, but hey, he couldn't have saved the people of Gotham without it.

Basically, doing the right thing does not always yield the needed results.

We have to do what the world needs us to do. We have to be what the world needs us to be.

The people do not always know what is good for them. All they do is cheer or boo what a single person does, clueless of the results.

Let the end justify the means. Let's play the role of Dark Knight, let us be what the people around us need us to be, not what they want us to be. The desire of the masses is not always right.

So if you have to look dumb in front of an audience and have the production crew shout at you, do it if you know if it will save the lame act and you'll get the audience into it.

Truth be told, heroes are overrated. They couldn't avoid that their images be destroyed. Heroes are mere puppets of the masses.

Be a Knight, and you act on your own, not caring about what people say, but the finale will always be something deserving of a standing ovation.

Blink

Hi. Nearly 2 weeks after not blogging, here I am again.

In those two weeks, I was so damn busy with school work that I didn't have time to blog. College is damn tiring. You might think I'm not busy right now, but I really am. It's just that I'm having a hard time with a Sociology assignment which is really pointless, since sociology is a minor subject which doesn't have anything to do with my major which is Accounting.

Blink

I've already done an essay on this actually, with the title being "Blink Of An Eye". It was by the way a requirement by my english teacher. This is going to be different though. The essay I submitted was utterly self-centered, as it was all about me.

So a blink is the super quick closing and then opening of the eye. As in, super, super duper fast.

I think we've all experienced incidents when you know, something is suddenly something else, or someone is suddenly someone else. It's so fast you can compare it to a blink. In our life, there really comes a time when everything suddenly becomes different.

Routine, difficulty, people, everything. I think it's easily a high impact thing when you don't expect them or when you didn't want them.

I actually want to share my own experience.

Coming in from high school, I didn't expect college to be as difficult to cope with as what's happening to me right now. I expected it to be quite the same, aside from the fact that I'll be using public transportation instead of being taken to school and being fetched from school.

Back in my class at high school, I was the noisy guy who probably knew so little that he had to speak too much so he can at least say something who was not at all shy. I was also the guy who helped no one, because I was known to be a bit irresponsible. I always had to ask my classmates, especially the smarter ones, what we had to do or what would happen the following day. I was a fun guy too, usually laughing, cracking green jokes with my friends, and they laughed because they thought it was gross, and some would laugh at my impressive bragging skills. My teachers had known me as a person who likes to bug them. I had conservative friends. 6:00pm arrivals at home. Oh my God. Sorry to reminisce.

Then, less than 2 months after graduation, I'm in college. The silent guy. Smart guy. Ask-Him-What-The-Assignment-Is-And-How-To-Answer-It Guy. Initially known as a guy who doesn't have a clue about sex. Only a few teachers notice me. My english teacher even looks like she hates me. The people who I hang out with nowadays are the exact opposite of conservative. 7:15pm arrivals by bus and standing in it.

It all happened so fast that in the first week thoughts have been running in my mind.

"What did I get myself into?"

"Can I handle this?"

"I miss my old life."

Then again, folks what would I get if I complain like that?

You'd pick me up in the streets. I'd be hungry. I'd be dirty.

Basically, I have to do it. It's like medicines which taste bad. You have to swallow it so you can get better.

Abrupt changes really happen in life - you can't take it away. I can not, however, teach anyone not to be shocked by abrupt changes, simply because you can't warn someone as easy as just saying to him or her "be ready". No matter what happens, these changes will happen with you not being totally prepared.

It's how we take the changes along with our lives and live with it. It all depends on how we handle it. At first, I found myself being sad most of the time, missing my classmates and my school, but it all eventually fades away with acceptance, like what I have said in my other blog entries. Change, like most people say, is the only thing that does not change. If we accept our fates well, we can live our lives with so much more ease, whether our fates contain abrupt or gradual changes.

We have to be the ones to adjust to changes. We can never wait for the changes to adjust to us, because that never happens. If you keep whining, nothing will happen. We all just have to move on.

To Dream

Hi. 36 hours till the first day of classes. My streaky blogging ends now.

To Dream

Simple topic. The dream I'm talking about is not the dreams we have at sleep. It's about our ambitions. Our goals in life.

Dreaming is a big thing. You know, people say that you should dream all you want 'cause it's all for free. It's big because it's a factor that sets the directions of our lives.

We want to become our dream. Become who we want to be. Do what we want to do. But dreaming is only positively big for those who are able to become their dream. Big for those who can look back and say to themselves they have indeed become the dream. At that point, dreams give birth to a feeling called hapiness. While some may have difficulty describing it, I consider it a feeling that has the ability to make a person smile.

It's the complete opposite for those who do not become their dreams. Dreams turn to nightmares. Frustrations. It's negatively big. It only makes a person regret his life. This happens when you're contented with dreaming. It doesn't get anyone anywhere.

Dreams are things that we know we can do. You can't say you want to become a singer but you don't have a good voice. Acceptance plays a huge role in dreaming. We must accept we are not capable of all things. If you're naturally inable to do something, then don't aspire to do that something.

If you dream of something you can do, don't wait for the dream to become itself, because that never happens. You have to do it yourself. Goals are achieved through hard work. Dreams only guide us. It's as simple as being in a cave, and you see light at the end. Last time I checked, the light never came to the person inside the cave. You have to approach that light.

The light is your dream. You want to get there, so you'll have to walk or crawl. Caves aren't smooth. You have to work hard. If you don't, you'll be stuck in the darkness. You'll be one of the many, yes, many, who regret what they've done to their lives. Don't wait for that to happen.

Do something about it as soon as, perhaps now.

Dreaming is the only the beginning. It's the easiest part. Living it is the most dificult. And to become your dream, is the best fulfillment of all.

Did David Cook Deserve The Win?

Hi, I'm blogging today to talk about the results of American Idol. So, really,

Did David Cook Deserve The Win?

To be honest with you, I'm not a fan of either one but I know in myself that I wanted Archuleta to win. Again, in all honesty, I do not hate David Cook. I think he's a teriffic performer with a nice voice. He has that rock star capability but he can hit some of the higher notes. I can't deny that, and I can't take that away from him.

I have a bit of a problem with his voice though. I really think he sound like Lifehouse's lead vocals, or maybe hat's just me. I hear a few bands with the same style. I'm not sure what I should call it, but it some kind of "making the throat rough", so when the voice comes out, it's a bit modified.

That's not going to be by any chance a basis for my answer to the question/topic.

I truly believed after watching the top three performance night that Cook would win the title. There was no doubt he was the best performer, and he outmatched the guy with the same name as his. All Cook had to do was ride his momentum and Archuleta would have been done for.

All my beliefs changed after the final performance night.

D.A. came out on stage hungrier than D.C. It didn't show if you just watched them. A balladeer doesn't have the same charisma as a rock star.

If you just watched the Davids, it would show that DC wanted it so much more. DA was just a small guy with a good voice, nothing more. He would raise his hands a bit, and that was all. You can't "feel" Archuleta.

If you listened to them, it would be a different story. David Archuleta, in all his 3 songs was at his best. It's as if the top 3 performance night was so long ago. DA showed up. He showed to the world what an American Idol is supposed to be like. Talented. Determined. Driven. He showed us his best. That's what the show is about.

To be fair with David Cook, I think he's still the better David in terms of talent at this point in time. DA may be young, but that won't cut it.

The better David in the finals?

Archuleta.

David Cook, no matter how teriffic he is, didn't flash before our eyes how magnificent he can be. I heard it from him. He didn't want to do something he's already done before. It's nice to hear that from him. He wanted to try something new. At the finals. That wouldn't work. And it didn't. Really. American Idol is about finding a star, according to Simon, and in the finals, DC didn't shine very well. What the people wanted to see is not a new David Cook. People wanted to see David Cook at his finest, rockin'! I expected him to bring the house down. Instead, he sang a weak song to end his three chances. Bad song choice. It kept us from seeing the David Cook we wanted to see.

Archuleta gave us possibly his best night, while Cook tried a song or two that hindered his magnificent form from landing into our eyes and ears.

What DA did was he improved his style and gave it to the audience. It was a very good performance, excellent actually. He wanted to make sure he'd be the American Idol by doing his best in his style.

DC didn't show up. If there was a fourth song, maybe he'd do Soulja Boy's "Crank That".

For me, Cook did deserve the win, but he doesn't deserve to be called better than Archuleta. While it shows, Cook didn't beat Archie in the finals.

Good thing, when Cook goes on to record songs, he won't be deciding on the songs he'll do. We won't hear him rap. So, it was OK, I guess.

Caring Too Much

Hi! It's me. Again.

Caring Too Much

This is one of the topics that I really have experience in. I think I can't go wrong. But that's just me. Of course, I'm not always right. And of course, I only said that to make people who are included in this topic, well, shut up.

I absolutely have no problem with people who care for others. I actually love 'em, because when a person's having any kind of breakdown, be it emotional or something else and you're there to "catch" them, that's cool. You're being unselfish.

That being said, the title will not really indicate which person I'm going to "take down". In my blog, there's a difference between the people I hate and the people I try to teach a lesson to.

Now, onto the problem. You see, caring too much has its downs, no matter how much people would look up and say to you you're such a kind person. In an exaggerated case, you might even be the toy of the person you care for, after for example, catching that person after a big emotional fall a year ago. "Do this for me, carry this for me, act like a dumbass". Oh sorry, that wasn't an exaggeration. That really happpen(s/ed).

Look. If you think that doesn't happen, look at very young kids. If their parents spoil them too much, they tend to be, well, uhhhhmmm... Spoiled. "Daddy, buy me this. Mommy, carry me! Daddy, let's go to Disneyland! Mommy, let's go to the park!" I hope you see now. There's quite a similarity.

The person cared for too much becomes spoiled, and that's a truth if that person can't appreciate. It's also true if that person, despite being overcared(is there such a word?!) for, did not recover from her/his breakdown. After about a year, that person can't let go. That's a big problem. That's why the person can't appreciate afterall. Because it's ineffective. There are A LOT of other reasons why a person can't appreciate. And, to tell you the truth, most people can't appreciate even if they say they do.

The spoiled person becomes a silent monster. Wow, you must be wondering if I had the right to say that. HOW?!

That person becomes, well, used to the fact that he/she is spoiled. She believes she can never lose, and that she's always the hero(ine). She also believes she's the know-all. Sorry I forgot the "/He" after the she's, it's just too long.

So, for example, a guy cares for a girl so much that after, like I said above, had an emotional breakdown, he "catches" her. After a year, he becomes a toy. So the girl has a rough year after her breakdown, after being left by someone she loved(gee, I don't know, could be a guy.). After a year, the girl hasn't recovered yet. She's still in love with that guy/person. After all the effort the guy did, the girl still can't appreciate.

Up until now, the girl still doesn't know what happened. "Why did he leave me?"

The guy tells her it's as simple as "I just don't love you". The girl thinks, "Unacceptable."

That's the problem with spoiled people. They never accept anything. They think it's all about themselves.

What happens in that example is that she destroys the images of the people she thinks are involved. They always want to win. No matter what. They become the silent monsters I told you. People like that don't directly destroy you. They destroy you by giving to the people your bad side.

They can't accept direct truths that are against them. Like if they're unwanted, if they're unloved. It can't be as simple as that for them. They always need a reason. Those two things are abstract and there's no real explanation.

They can't have everything they want. They can't take that. If they can't have what they want, they talk to everyone else. "What do you think of me? In your opinion, why [insert scenario here]?" If they don't get the answer, they cry and that's when they turn to silent monster mode. When they do that, there's no sign. You won't recognize it.

That's the problem with people who have monster tendencies. You never know if they really are monsters. They may look innocent, arguably beautiful, but then again, you can't judge a book by its cover. The inside may be bad.

That's why you can't care too much. You never know who would turn out to be a monster. You might even end turning them into monsters just because of your saintly trait. It's ironic, but that's how it is.

Just accept it.

Dig Deep

Hi. I'm blogging rapidly because I'll already be going to school on May 26.

Dig Deep

I'm a young guy, 16. I just graduated from high school. Despite being young, I've seen a lot of things.

Corrupt government. Cheaters. Whiners. Dishonest people. Then there's something normal to my age, SCL.

You must be wondering what SCL is.

So
Called
Love

Wow. You must think I'm a hater. Please let me finish.

It's so called because I say it's not true.

I see a lot of people flirt in school, honestly, but it's not a yuck for me. I perfectly have no problem with people who want to tell the world they're in love with somebody through gestures.

Sometimes, young persons have tendencies to say they're already in love, or that they're already taken. Sometimes, you think you're already in love or you're aready being loved by a simple sharing of secrets. Ask one of my friends. I just don't want to mention names. Love as I see it isn't that low. Ask couples everywhere. Almost everyone's married not to their high school sweethearts because they find their true love somewhere else.

I don't know, really, because I've never been in those relationships but I think I'm smart enough to observe. Some might think it's cool to have boyfriends or girlfriends. It's shown in the media. Movies usually feature a guy having a girl even if it's an action or suspense movie. They make it look easy and cool. Friends may even force you to So Called Faill In Love. What happens is people fall in love for others just because it's cool and it's a trend.

I even have a friend who said our group wasn't cool because we didn't court girls or give any of them gifts. ..!..

Getting back, I also see some pairs in school. I also see websites of people who declare their very in love. Again, no problem with that. I just think that if you admire someone, it's not love instantly. Love's not like instant noodles. To admire someone is actually very low.

You admire certain aspects of the person and that person's personality, but you never really love the way that person is. When you admire and you find something not very cool about that person, people tend to be "turned off".

There's also something about mutual understanding. It's when someone admire someone else and it just so happened that both of them admire eachother. It's just two way admiration actually and it's the same thing. They both think it's love and they become temporary "lovers". When one of them does something off the hook and then the other finds out, they break up for a while. When they go back together, it's not as solid and, you know where it goes from there.

Speaking of two way SCL affairs, young people fall for reciprocated infatuation.

Some people also "fall in love" quickly. It's not that easy. I think love is best tested first. Ya know, get through all the difficulties so it's strong in the end. Experience with eachother matters. If it happens all too fast, it also goes down just as fast. Again, love isn't instant noodles.

Others take SCL too seriously that they cry too much for nothing. They think they're hurt but they're not. I don't know, but if some people try to imitate authors and make stories or essays about they SC Loved ones, that's just stupid.

Dig deep first if you think you're in love. Think about it and consider how you really feel. What I have given you might be of help. If you're one of those people above, I hope you'd understand.

In spite of the things I typed, I still know it's not all SCL. Young people can also fall in love. If you know in yourself that what you're feeling is love, go ahead end express yourself. I'm happy for you.

On the other hand, if you now know it's not really love, stop the joke.

Stop kidding yourself. Get a life.

Success

Hi. I'm blogging. Again.

Success

This is actually an issue(if it is) that most people nowadays understand. For convinience, I'll say, it's simply being able to achieve a goal. Here's the thing. Success can be viewed from two different angles.

Success, as you yourself sees it and

Success, as others see it.

The problem lies in those two, not in defining the word itself(success).

Here's how there are two angles. According to the definition, it's being able to achieve or meet a goal. It's not just you setting goals for yourself. Other people who watch us have expectations too. It becomes their goal for you.

You got that? I hope you did.

Example. You happen to have a goal. Due to the hype of American Idol nowadays, I'll use it.

You're a good singer and you want to know what other people think about your voice because you're not really sure. You say to yourself, "I'm going to audition and I am going to hollywood!". Those people who don't watch the show, going to hollywood is like phase 2. Right there, I guess you've made a goal for yourself.

Your mom, a woman who would like her child to become a sensational recording artist, tells you to make it and she wants you to make the finals. Now she has a goal for you too. We just picked up the two things I enumerated.

After auditioning in your hometown(i.e. Las Vegas), the three judges say yes, say you have a lot of talent and you are going to hollywood. Then they give you the ticket. You and your mom are both happy, as you have just been sent to hollywood. You're pretty much done with your business, but of course, you wouldn't waste an opportunity, right?

Come hollywood week, you get outsung by your peers. So when the results come out, the three judges say you're just not ready for the bigger things ahead. You're happy because your voice was acknowledged and t'was commended, but you just weren't ready.

It was good. Dream done. You made it to hollywood. Your voice was good. You had a chance to be shown on TV. It's time to move on, live out your life before you auditioned for the show. That was good while it lasted, you were thinking while in the elevator going down. Goal accomplished.

Back home, your mom's disappointed at hearing the news. She scolds you for not giving your best. She criticizes you and says you're not a hard worker. Yad-yada.

Even though you've accomplished your goal, you come back to your room with your head down.

You get online on your messenger and a lot of people start talking to you.

"Too bad."

"Oh well."

"There's always next time."

"You could've done better."

"I'm sorry."

Sickening messages of pity, discouraging, you thought. You then realize, they had other plans for you. You know that when you walk through the streets, you're not that cool person who they see on TV anymore. Same old you.

True, some people will acknowledge your accomplisment. Some won't. Of course the negativity of it will affect you more. Hey, if you made it through, maybe everyone might praise me. Not just some.

Having some problems on success, you go to google and you search for success. You come across a blog entitled "Gift of Thought" and you start reading.

Maybe I can help you.

With that example, I can say people think too much of how people think of us that we give too much of ourselves to them. After an achievement, we should just be proud of what we have done. We don't do things for them all the time. Keep your heads up.

It could be the other way around too, because sometimes others expect less than what we have in mind, but you still can't mind them too much. We can't have them tell us, "Well done, that's enough.".

I think that we know in ourselves which is fulfillment and enlightenment. It's our call if we stop or step on the gas.

We can only care for others if they're really affected by what we're doing. We should check if we're stepping on people but not to the extent that they'll be the ones running our lives.

We only get one shot at life. Let's make it ours.

Rant of the Day

Did you watch Game 6 of the 2nd round of the NBA playoffs between the Hornets and the Spurs?!

Horry hit West! A desperation move by the champions. They really want to retain this one. If San Antonio goes on to win this series in New Orleans, game 7, I wouldn't be happy. This is Chris Paul's time. He will knock off the champs. Horry had to make another dirty move after his blow to Steve Nash last year. They had to get Amare and Diaw off the court before they could win on the road. If West won't be 100%, I'd say f*ck you Horry! That would be the 2nd year in a row that your Spurs beat my West teams!!!

I'd have to say that was a f*cked up dirty play! Definitely unnecessary! Get a life old man!

Thanks for reading!

What is Blind?

Hi! I came home just yesterday from Boracay. Right now I just came from driving school. Just had my orientation. Speaking of orientations, I had already gone through mine for the university I'm going to study in.

The topic I'm going to write about might seem uncharacteristic of me, but I want to add flavor to my blog. Isn't it always nice to have someone surprise you?

So, to surprise you, or not...

What is Blind?

First off, let's take it literally. What IS blind? Blind is a word used to describe a person who cannot see. Unfortunate fate. Miserable. Pitiful. For me, I feel bad whenever I see blind persons. I see them play instruments in groups. In front of them is a box with a hole on top so you can place coins in them. It's a heavy feeling to carry. (I do not know if this is right English)

Blind people cannot see, so they are basically unaware of what their surroundings look like.

Figuratively, a blind person is someone unaware of the truth. He is unable to see what is real, unable to see through lies. Unable to see through the clouded thoughts his enemies feed him.

Now, to substitute words. What is blind?

Judging from the first few statements, would you like to try and guess?

...
...
...

Love is blind. Cheezy mayhem. True, but I have dreamed of writing about an abstract aspect of a man's personality. What a perfect topic to begin with. Though without true experience, I would like to share with you a product of my immense imagination and brilliance. While I may have used brilliance to look like it is for self glorification - it is a mere booster of confidence as I go along. (This is new territory for me, and maybe you can either help me do more or stop doing these topics by simply commenting, whether you are on my blogger or multiply.)

Again, love is blind. Whether you have used the dictionary definition or the figurative implication, I really don't care, we'll all arrive at one point.

Actually, true love is blind.

True love cannot see the faults and wrongs of its recipients. You can't truly love and say, "I love you, but I won't love you anymore if you change". Love pushes through even the darkest hour, because when you love someone, you love that person because you just do, not because you are forced to or because you found comfort in that person.

Love is blind when you love somebody and never really care about what he or she does. True love is only true love when it's blind, when you're prepared to accept personalities those below set the standards you once have set.

Love can only feel. It gives it's approval of true love when your heart feels light everytime your receiver responds to you. The heart is an organ inside our body and tot ake it figuratively, it only feels. It is never able to sense the outside of our system.

Figuratively, too, it's the reason why, if we look around, people who are dating eachother aren't always the prefect match. There you have it. Love is blind. That's why love stories have poor people fall in love with rich ones and vice versa. People with different religions fall in love. It doesn't really matter what people say for a love that's blind. There's not always an explanation.
Love is blind. It, too, is magic.

Hannah Montana Steam

Hi! I'm blogging and blogging and blogging. Got home two hours ago from the University(De La Salle University) I'll study in. It was a whole day of non-sense and I expect tomorrow to be no different. When I was in my block, I was really silent. I know I wasn't not like that back in my Senior Year. I miss my old self. I miss that comfort.

However, life goes on and I'll have to adjust for 2 terms. After that, another adjustment. It might seem like I'm complaining, but i do NOT regret that decision.

Hannah Montana Steam

The first time I saw Hannah Montana(a year or so ago) on Disney Channel, I didn't really have anything to say. I didn't care at all. I mean, I was 15 years of age. Why should I like her songs? I have never listened to Miley Cyrus' songs. I just see them on TV when I'm scanning channels.

As time went on though, she goes on to be a super famous singer and her hits become more and more noticeable. The craze has gone through the minds of her audience like plagues that used to wipe out an entire town back in the day. It's like fire feeding off paper and wood to burn a house down.

Then a night came. I was scanning channels and then I hear people talking about Miley Cyrus. It was on The Insider.

I thought, De Javu.

Since when did the mature showbiz guys care about Disney's products?

I saw them make fun of Britney after she got pregnant. Britney, I think, had her share of memories with Disney. I heard them talk about Lindsay Lohan. After her career crashed. I watched them show Vanessa Anne Hudgens' photos. Censored because they were nude.

And just like the three I mentioned, they were talking about another career that is on the brink of downfall. Good thing it stayed there. Here's another star who has kids for her target market. And she risked her career. She really did. How?

She posed like an adult on Vanity Fair.

After typing those sentences, I wasn't thinking De Javu anymore. I was thinking...

Quade Javu. Yes, I made that up.

Miley Cyrus could say she did it because it's a part of growing up. I understand that.

How about her fans? The kids. Newsflash, most of her fans are kids. Isn't she supposed to be a role model? Is Miley thinking her child fans would pose sexily with bedsheets? No, no.

Yes she has freedom but now is not the right time to do that. Kids admire her too much. What a show. It's timing was as bad as it gets. Her career was rising. She had captured the hearts of her child viewers. And then she almost puts it to waste. She's seen it happen to Disney gals. Why let it happen to herself?

I hope we are not looking at one plus quade javu. I hope that doctors have not found a cure for Miley's plague. I hope the firefighters aren't here yet to put out Hannah Monatana's fire.

Why? It would break children's hearts, fragile as they are. I might sound like I'm exaggerating, but... If you're an 8 yr old boy and you're an avid fan of say... Batman, and Batman gets killed by the Joker? Wouldn't that be sad?

One more thing... Is Miley trying to get teenagers' hearts? That isn't gonna happen. As a guy, I can see that Lindsay has a better body than her. And I still think Lindsay's low.

Safe to say, what an Miley is not made for that kind of stuff yet. She also has not considered everything when she did that. She skipped her loving fans while thinking. This is not her time. She is on the rise and she just might have wasted that. She may do that only when she's desperate for fame again. That too might not be far ahead.

I heard the firetruck's already left the station.

Yes, the cure has not been found out, but the doctors seem to be almost there.

Destiny

Hi. Moving on...

Destiny

... And I'm still struggling with title-making again. Whatever. Though I do find the one word title kind of... Strong. Or maybe that's just me.

Or maybe it's the word.

It's a very famous word coming out of the mouths of your movie or TV heroes. They say that only you can control your own destiny. They say that our future is in our hands - that nothing can take that away from us.

That's true, and I've been sticking to that since God knows when. I'm not particularly cautious, but I think I do a good job of reflecting on my actions, and I try to do something about them when they turn out to be wrong. Something's not right here though.

You know how some people ask you and your answer would be "It depends if it's this <this>or that<that>"?

Well you get it. Control of your destiny - it also depends. You don't have a full grip on it but you influence it. Oh - don't be confused. There are some cicumstances in life that are out of our reach.

If you knew that now, in your future endeavors you, won't be so shocked.

There are times that we try so hard, and we put our heart into everything we do but we come up short. Trying your best IS the best thing to do if you want a good future ahead of you - if you want to go on destiny's good side.

Don't be too optimistic, though.

Trying your best is the best thing to do, but doing your best isn't always enough.

When your best isn't enough, don't be too disappointed, because you did everything you could. Be happy for yourself because you were able to unleash all your abilities to try to achieve your goal.

When you fail while doing your best, don't put your head down because destiny will prey on you. It's all a matter of acccepting the fact that we don't totally control our destiny. Even the best of our abilities may not be enough to reach our goals and ambitions because like I've been repeating to you each and everytime in this entry, we don't have a hand in it all.

In the end we just have to accept that fact. In the world, things happen, and some of these things may affect you. You'll just have to cope with these things that you can't control.

Your destiny will await you in the future, and if you handle yourself well despite the bad things, and at that doing your best, you won't be putting down your head once you and your destiny meet.

While all I've been talking about is the negative side, that's not all of it. These things you can control could also be good for you.

We also have majority of the control of our destiny, I just informed you that not everything's in our control but we still pretty much have most of it.

This was a post to keep you from failing even more if you fail at trying to achieve your goal. No one deserves to blame himself/herself after trying his/her best. Acceptance is a part of a good meeting with our destiny.

I hope I was of help to anyone.

... And then I'll introduce a new part of my blog.

Rant of the Day!!!

"Rant of the Day" will not always be in my blog entries.

Why are people so obsessed with iPods that they'll kiss the asses of the people who made it? I don't get it. I just hope noone fills a 2GB memory stick with photos of iPods. That will really suck. I mean, do they feel like they could die already after having one? It feels good to have one but it isn't everything! The way they adore these things, it's as if they were born for just that.

Sorry. I just shared.

Thanks for reading.

Common? Come on...

Hi. So, in truth, I wasn't able to do a post in a week. I did say, however, that I would try. Unfortunately, I didn't succeed but what matters is I'm typing again. Let's go straight to business.

Common? Come on...

I tried...! It's not half a good title but I guess it'll do. So... Common?

Something common is something you see everyday, or almost everyday. It's the usual thing. Right? I think you know what I'm saying. It's definitely the same thing as normal. You know. It's a regular thing. It's NOT at all special.

Hey, normal and common, they aren't by any chance different, I think. My teacher told us they're the different, and I think he's wrong. He told us that what is common isn't normal. Don't you think he's wrong? He likes promoting his school, but if he promotes his school, and what he tells us is wrong, wouldn't that make his school stupid?

If my definition is wrong, feel free to criticize, I don't care. That's not even my focus.

You wake up everyday, and go about your own businesses, and there are things you encounter... Which are... Common. These common things, in society, sometimes they become trends.

Trends are standards people go with because most people go with it too. You might be able to call it a bandwagon, but I'm not so sure about definitions so I'll play safe.

When you don't "go with the flow", people usually think you're stupid, weird or "not cool". When that happens, the "not cool" guy loses his composure and then himself. He goes with the trend because he thinks he has no choice. He doesn't want to be the odd guy. That, actually, is a common thing, we all adjust if everyone thinks that what we're doing is wrong.

Isn't that right? We care so much about what people think is right that we forget our own side. We forget to listen to ourselves. So to correct my teacher, it's not "what's common is not normal", it's "what's common and normal isn't always right".

Again.

"What's common and normal isn't always right."

If you'd cooperate, please open your Notepad or Microsoft Word. Type it. Ten times.

...
...
...

Did you do it? If you did, that's cool. If you didn't, you're right. You didn't have to.

There's a big problem about this trend thing. Like I said, you'll lose your composure and then yourself. How do you lose yourself?

A guy walks along a hallway with ladies in the chairs at the sides of the hallway. He sees a candy wrapper on the ground, stops. He was about to pick up the wrapper when all the beautiful ladies watching him started laughing. Noticing that, he instead ties his shoelaces. He pretended to do that.

Without the trend that guys who do that are weird, he could've done a small thing to save earth. Unfortunately though, he doesn't want to be laughed at. He lost his truthfulness to himself, because he knows that it was right, but because of the trend, he comes up with the conclusion that it's wrong.

Whenever you go out and present yourself to the public, be ready to be stormed by trends that might alter your personality. Protect your own beliefs.

How do you do that? Take your time to think. Solidify your own opinions and figure out what truly is correct. Figure out what really has to be done. If you know in yourself that what you're doing is right, when you go out and go public, it'll take more than a trend to bring you down. You might be even good enough to stand for yourself and inform everyone they're wrong.

I'm brave enough to say that people who exchange their own ideas for trends are weak. Only those who believe in their own ways are strong, and my God, you can not survive in this world if you're too weak. You'll have no identity if you adjust to trends too much. It's as if there's no real you.

Common? C'mon....

Thanks for reading. Hope you enjoyed.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://cho-senone.blogspot.com/2008/05/common-come-on.html' title='Common? I kind of got that writing energy this summer. Expect me to throw in a blog entry probably at least once a week IF I get my brain rolling. Here goes.

One Night Stand

Don't get me wrong here, I mean, probably first thing that comes to your mind is that this topic is going to be sexual. Hmpph. Not really, but I really love how "One Night Stand" fits into my topic.

The president saw himself vowing before thousands of the citizens of the nation he was about to govern. They were howling as they cheered for him. After 7 years, it all seemed like it didn't happen. Those same thousands who cheered have turned into thousands who despised him and criticized him.

So... To start off, a One Night Stand is a sexual affair not done for love but for sexual desires only. In fact, the persons who will be doing the activity of sex have probably met only for the first time and of course, having said that, love is absent, thus there will be no plan for commitment. It's something that only lasts for one night(not literally), and thus has no bearing and fruit.

A one night stand is in fact the perfect embodiement of my topic. Hmmm... My topic is about promises, commitments and agreements that last for only as long as a month after it was stated.

Are you... getting this? Ever been told a secret? Probably... been to a group of people who pledged that there will be no more chaos and diversity?

If you've been through those kinds of things, you'd probably understand the next few sentences.

A lot of things like this are going to keep happening to you. And I don't want you to fall for lies. I don't want you to believe in promises made by people who have no commitment and people who can not stand the longetivity of an oath.

After 16 years of existence, I came up with something that might actually be true: Only a few have the guts to stay commited and loyal to an agreement.

Please, do not deny this. You see it on TV, hear it on the radio and read it on newspapers. The media actually helps you to realize this.

People marry others, after what? 3 months, they divorce. Candidates say I will not be corrupt, and they stay like that for a year maximum. After 6 mere months, you've got people saying "we don't like him" and witnesses sprout of nowhere. Please, oh please.

On the other hand, someone votes, and then the person he votes wins. After issues about corruption, he turns his back on his guy. What's up with that?

People, this is not just a political situation.

Michael trusts Ron and tells him a secret. Ron of course, promises Michael he won't tell anybody. After 3 weeks with a zipped mouth, he suddenly can't contain and he tells Mr. Olaguera, his boss.

Members of a group with a lot of problems cry together, forgives each other and promises to cherish eachother till the end. The next day, they go about their own businesses again.

A guy flirts with a girl, kisses her and tells her "I love you", but then they both decide "we're not fit for eachother".

Now, enough with the situations, I know you got me. We people are not fond of promises, treaties, agreements and such.

We do a lot of things recklessly but please learn. Haven't you realized that everything you haven't thought of turned into waste? Let's stand for something that we know we can actually stand for.

We talk a lot, but we can't walk the walk. We get so indulged sometimes, we think it's real. Think before you act. Life is not a joke, it is real... Yes it is, and something real is supposed to be taken seriously. Never say something you can't do because you'll always end up just disappointing everybody. If ever you decide to do the opposite of that, it has to be done with determination and hard work.

To conclude this relatively short post, I want everybody to know that we must learn how to put value into the things we do. We must put our heart into everything we say or do so we can become committted.

If you can't do that, don't ever promise. Don't ever say you're committed to something. Shut the hell up, lie down. You have a lot of thinking to do to not be like those sex morons.

Thank you.

Gets Into Your Head

Hey everybody! I'm back, and this time I'll try to post regularly. I've been gone for so long, missed me? I've been busy lately, graduated from High School and spent nearly 70 hours playing Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core. Cool game. VERY, actually.

I have a lot of topics in my head but as usual, you're only gonna read about one, and it's up next.

Gets Into Your Head

I admit it, vague title. You really don't know where I'm gonna come from. Fortunately for me, I do.

I'm gonna get you warmed up. Think about all the TV shows or movies you loved ever so much, probably even those video games that you spent some time on because you love the story. You might have fallen in love with them.

If you fell in love with the story, I'm pretty sure you fell in love with the a certain character and from there, there are two possibilities. It's either you're just going to admire the character or you're going to try to compare yourself to the character.

Now when you compare, it branches out even more.

You are alike and you're going to like the striking similarities or

You are not the same, so you're going to try to make yourself like the character.

You must want to ask me why I put those two in bullet form and the other two were just in either or form. Well, we're gonna focus on item number two, so it has to be special.

The personality is so impressive to you that you try to adopt it. How? There are a lot of ways you try to do that, and to simply put it, it degrades your own character in real life. Models or idols are fine, but if they get in to your head, consider your soul lost.

C'mon. Don't think I jumped the gun. I didn't.

SIMPLE, because we have our own character. We have our own lives. If you try bringing a fictional character's own personality to life by sacrificing your own, that's just wrong because if you do that, everything fictional will try to influence your way of thinking and may alter the way you live your life. What happens is you try bringing in the character in real life situations you encounter or face.

Hmmm. Not yet convincing. Game time.

I think we have all encountered some situations in life which question the morality or the correctness of a decision i.e. "Was it right to bet on this thing?", "Was it right to question him?". You know those things, some of them probably about love, or a simple judgement or maybe decision making.

I'll give you a situation. Specimen A (21 yrs of age, female, working), watches TV and comes across a movie which goes like this.

"A girl transfers into school and is a bit confused. She is pretty, but has a weird gesture. She always lick the back side of her spoon when she eats. Other than that, she's perfect. Kind, funny, joyful and gorgeous.

"A boy which belongs to the class beside this girl's own is often teased for not being able to court girls. He then bets with his friends that he can. It just so happened that the gorgeous girl with abnormality(in paragraph 1) passed by so she was the subject of the bet."

You know what happens next right? They both fall in love then girl finds out the bet. TWIST TIME!

"The boy, after getting slapped by the boy, decides he isn't really in love and it was really all because of the bet."

OH MY GOODNESS!! Specimen A bursts into tears and she really admires the girl. She then decides to be like the girl. She then makes herself presentable everytime she goes to work. Now two of her officemates are attracted to Specimen A. Specimen B and C(both male) then seem to be competing. Two of her officemates, Sepecimen D and E(both male) then make a bet. Their terms go like this. Who among Specimen B and C will get the key to Specimen A's heart?

Specimen C dismisses his feelings and decides he only wants to be friends with Specimen A. They become so close, then Specimen B falls in love with Specimen A but then, decides he doesn't want her shit! Specimen A bursts into tears!

So... Specimen A learns about the bet but doesn't know it really and gets mad at Specimens D and E. Pointless anger. She shouldn't even know cause it's not her business. She gets the wrong idea that Specimen B only made his move because of the money though he wasn't involved, in the bet. She then thinks the whole world fell down on her, even though she was completely wrong.

WHY!?

BECAUSE. Specimen A thinks she's the protagonist in the story. She puts herself into the girl at the movie. Got into her head? Think about it.

...

...

So it put a scar on four lives. Good thing this was fictional, eh?

Safe to say, never push yourself into a fictional character's story. It only ruins your life. In real life, we aren't always the protagonist. We aren't always right. We aren't the main characters all the time, there are more people out there, 5 Billion of them, who have their own point of view.

Don't let your sould get lost through identity problems. Stop it from getting into your head.

Thanks for reading!

Reflecting On Your Past

I may have disappointed a few readers for not updating my blog. I don't have a valid reason for that, but let's say it may have been good. I'm fresh from my retreat(A program of my school. by the way I'm Roman Catholic) and hey - if you got a different religion don't go away from this page because I'm not gonna talk about faith. It's just the thing/s that the priest talked about. Hey this guy was just cool. He's probably met all sorts of people and he knows how your lif might end up.

Let me get started.

Reflecting On Your Past

This is a time to reflect on what we have done to our past.

We all have memories. You know, memories? Your first ever birthday party. The first time you walked. The first time you got to school. Your first boyfriend or girlfriend. Your first kiss. Your graduation. The first time you received a salary. In addition to those, a lot more firsts.

If all your memories are happy, you're living a joke, so memories aren't all happy. A life is never complete without the frustrating parts - those we usually regret. Your first spanking from your parents and more of it. First time you cried. Your first injection. Your usual fights with your parents. The "I wish I didn't say that"s. First failed relationship. Failing marks. First time debts stacked. All that pain, and some people - they want to give up on their life.

We never wanted these. They were mistakes we usually did unintentionally and things which occured we never knew that did and there were some we are really responsible for. Common thing? We regret it.

"I don't want to remember it."

"Forget about it."

"PRETEND it never happened."

Remember these words? At least one of these must have come out your mouth once. At least I gave you a background of what words you might say. You see, all these statements are wrong. Never, ever forget your past. It never leads to anything good. You should forgive your past, not forget it, according to our retreat facilitator.

"Oh shit! This guy is talking about forgiving my past and my past is not a person! He's crazy!"

Of course you can forgive your past. And of course, your past is a person - because you are your past. Whoever you are right now is because of who you were or what you did in the past. Forgetting your past is like burying it. You will not know yourself. Forgive your past, do not forget it.

You see, there is a big difference between forgiving and forgetting. Forgetting it of course... forgetting, in the truest sense of the word. Forgiving is acknowledging that a certain event or icident has occured and accepting it. From forgiveness we learn.

Do you ever feel light inside when you forgive? I know you do, because I feel such when I do so myself. I feel good. However, whenever we simply forget, it's heavy it's like killing a part of yourself, just like what I said.

Forgetting is "PRETENDing nothing happened." I've made sure that I make the word pretend all caps because it should capture your attention. Pretending is not good for a life. When we pretend, we do a lot of things which are uncharacteristic of our real selves. Sometimes we pretend we are strong so that people might fear us and we might get the advantage or sometimes we pretend we like something so we're in. On the other hand, some people also pretend they have a weak side so they could be pitied. Some boys do this so girls can talk to them. You know girls nowadays. Crying is an extra point.

So we must forgive our past to acknowledge and accept our faults, our other people's fault to us. How do we benefit from it? Well you know history right? His story, Man's Story. A lot of people ask - "Why do we have to know who the first humans were or what history bullshit war happened?" We have to know it because we should learn from our mistakes.

Learn from our mistakes - and then make sure it never happens again. Thank the historians. Now! Thank them.

'Thank you."

If we simply forget and PRETEND nothing happened, then how can we learn from our mistakes and not repeat them?

So if you haven't been able to get it yet, my message is pure and simple. Forgive your past so that we may learn from it, do not forget it so that we may not repeat our mistakes over and over again.

Now, refelect on your past, acknowledge those which you have regretted and attempted to forget and learn.

Special thanks to Fr. Ding Cortez of Don Bosco Batulao.

Thanks for reading!

Bragging

Hi! January 24, 2008. History is made. Today, I silenced my doubters and made more believers.

We performed our version of Les Miserables and I play the role of Enjolras. Hey, I can sing. And hey, we stamped our names in school history as the first class to attempt to do a musical if Les Miserables and... Succeeding. You see succeeding is broad, and maybe I'll talk about it some other time. For now, it's the post title. Let's get there.

Bragging

So about bragging... I'm actually the type of guy who brags a lot, and with that I'm gonna say it, this may turn into nothing close to my other posts. It might go on and become a rant.

Bragging/Boasting is telling everyone your excellence on one or more catergory of life.

A lot of people look at it badly, but I don't think so, they look at it that way maybe because that is the automatic response of ordinary people. Finding the wrong in what people do.

You know how people look at small mistakes as big time, but they don't see your contributions and it is all disintegrated by one puny, tiny mistake. I know you know this happens to you occasionally, and when it does, when you're not used to it, you get demoralized. I, however, am not.

To me, this is all a part life. People putting you down. Yada yada. So you might have gotten lost in my very moving statements, so to remind you, it's what people usually see in bragging. They only think of it as a bad thing and they put you down because of it. They backstab you, stuff like that. So basically, people see bragging as bad even if the "evil" factor isn't there...

EVIL FACTOR??!! Huh?

The evil factor is an optional part of bragging - putting other people down. Down below. Down benneath. In case you didn't catch it... Here's an example.

John: I am very good in video games, and oh man, your skills aren't even half of mine!

What is the evil factor here? The italicized letters.

Let me tell you, bragging isn't bad unless you put the evil factor in it. I admit that I use it myself, but not as much as I use the plain bragging.

What am I saying? I suppose you figured it out already. The people who say bragging is all bad are just OMGSDOAP. What is... OMGSDOAP?

Oh
My
God
So
Damn
Over
Acting
Person/s

These are the people who say that braggers are bad people, or that when good people start bragging without the evil factor(let's call it EF), they immidiately become bad. How can you be bad when you are not putting other people down?

I mean, isn't evil all about involving other people and making them slide down ramps to make them hit hard? And, since when is raising self-esteem bad?

Is that the case? Well if it is, let's call ourselves bad when we say "I can do this", "I can get through these obstacles" or whatever.

If bragging without EF and raising self-esteem isn't the same at all, let me prove to you that they are in fact the same.

If I say "I can do this, this is easy" in my mind people can't hear that and it serves as a statement that raises self-esteem. However, if I say "I can obviously do this. It's gonna be a piece of cake" out loud it would be immidiately bad, however to me it's just something that raises self esteem. I mean, they mean the same thing. Duh.

Conclusions:

1. Do not ever try to hit a person who's trying to get his spirits up with lame statements which composes of stuff telling him/her that he/she is immoral. If you do try to do that after reading this blog entry, you're messed up cause you know what the difference between bragging with and without the EF.

2. Do not judge a person's intentions by what he says.

3. Analyze all angles before telling a person what you think.

That's it. I guess it did turn into a rant. Didn't mean to hurt anybody. I also think I don't have to write about LeBron anymore. Just keep it up.

Have a nice day everyone. Thank you for reading.

My Own Philosophy

Hello everybody... I guess greeting you all a happy new year is never late, so, happy new year. I didn't compose a blog for quite a long time now because I didn't have the energy I really wanted to release(refer to blog title).

I have also been busy, so don't expect me to write regulary. I'll be writing occasionally, yes, occasionally. In this blog entry, I will propose my greatest thing yet(read blog entry title)...

I'm a bit excited to present this to all of you as I have thought of it well. Here I go...

My Own Philosophy

I never thought I could actually come up with these kind of things... I even came up with absolutely ridiculous names:

1. josepocholochicosebastianism(my favorite, which is my whole name with ism)
2. josism(my first name)
3. ilogism(ilog, tagalog for river)

Then... I based it on my two concepts... Which I call the two towers... So I came up with a "good" name. (It's still actually bad)

Dostorrism(from the spanish word Dos, meaning two, and the spanish word torre, meaning tower)

Why the name? Again, the concept is split into two towers. The two towers are two concepts which are used by the mind. Towers stand tall, and these concepts surely stand above the other possible components of the mind as these are concepts are introduce are used to deal with the harsh realities of life.

Torre Uno: Two Minds

We are composed of two minds. All human beings are.

First, there is the high mind, the mind wherein everything is processed, where everything is put in place.

Do you know when sometimes you are given a problem? A good example is when (1)choosing a course for college. You want a course for sure. (2) Or when you want to apply for work somewhere, and you have finally decided where to go to and you're sure of it.

Then there's the interpreter mind.

In the examples above, in (1), your friends are applying for a different course and they're all going for just one. They ask you which course you want. You tell them the same thing as they want. (2), the other company offers you a higher salary and you are losing your luxuries. You then go to the company with a higher salary even if you don't like it much.

How do these two parts work?

The high mind, which is sure of all things it processes, is the mind which is truly ours, never influenced by anything, as in (1), he really wants the course and same as in (2), he really wants the place. Both examples, the person knows it. This is caused by the high mind.

The interpreter mind is the one which ruins the superior mind on most occasions. This is the mind which is affected by all outside factors, such as friends and the need to adjust to the brutal game that is life, as in (1) and (2) respectively. We are usually influenced by these factors because we are pressure by those around us... Which is the trend? What do I need? What do they want me to do? What will they do?

Sometimes the biggest mistakes in life is when we follow the interpreted results of the high mind, when we are forced to get into something we don't really like. People now dream the dreams of the people around them or of the society. We don't want that. Let's aim for our own ambitions, not ambition of others.

In other words the interpreter is that which attempts to adjust the reults of the high mind to suit those factors around us.

We want the high mind to be above the interpreter. One of the reasons I named it high mind is because of its need to triumph. Just like the common good over bad.

To be able to overcome the demons of the world, we must follow that which we think and believe, but keep in mind we still do not know everything. We can only stand up for that which we know, never for that which is beyond the grasp of our mind.

Torre Dos: Time Is Never On Our Side

Remember that I said these concepts make it easier in this harsh life. I know everyone experiences time turning its back on us. Whenever we are doing something we want, that which we desire, whenever we look at the time it's suddenly gonna be all over in 5 minutes. Whenever we do something which we despise and hate, time moves as if it is slowed down by some vortex from another dimension. (I still can't believe I'm doing this entry)

Whenever you have to get up in the morning at about 7am and you sleep at about 10pm, that 9 hours of sleep seems like a minute. Sleep and then get up. You see... Time sucks.

Time keeps on playing with us every now and then, yet we do not see or feel it. It is an element of life which is abstract but hits us hard every now and then. We keep getting stuck in places because of traffic or delays, and we worry because there isn't much time. You see, time controls us.

You see, they key to this is Torre Dos' text, its mentality. Knowing this, we must keep in mind that "slowly but surely" is a very obsolete concept. Right now, as time keeps playing with us even more, it's "quickly and surely". We must make the most of each and every happy moment in our life because time runs quick.

It is up to us to achieve our goals and cope with time, as it is never going to adjust for time. Noone's too lucky nowadays. Time is never on our side.

With that I conclude my philosophy. I hope you liked it and may you apply it to your lovely lives.

Trying the NBA: LeBron James

It's back to magnificence for the king. The Cavaliers have a winning record and they can't thank him enough for his big late heroics.

Thank you for reading.

Economic Illusion

Hello everyone! I'm finally back to this white space to fill in with ideas.

I'm currently in the United States having a good vacation. I bought the new iPod Nano which has a video player on it. Kinda excited. I already have that then i just bought a LeBron James Team USA jersey and a Gilbert Arenas jersey. I also already have a number 3 and 5 wood for golf. Happy shopping holidays everybody.

After some time here in the Los Angeles County, we went to San Diego. I spent my Christmas there with my cousins.

After that we went to Las Vegas, and it took us 9 hours to get there just because of traffic! The movie "I Am Legend" on my iPod was really not enough as it ran for only 1.5 hours. The next day we got back here again in LA county. It was a much shorter drive at 4.5 hours.

I'll just write a little about "I Am Legend". I love the movie and I thought Will Smith did another good job in acting. This time it was a difficult job because he was alone, so he'd either talk to his dog and some mannequins. I liked how he put out emotion when he was choking Sam, when he said "please talk to me" to a mannequin and when he explained about God's plan. I liked the story and all in all the movie was plain wicked. I liked the way Robert became a legend.

On the 30th, I'll watch a game in the Staples Center, the Lakers hosting the Celtics. I think it's gonna be a good game, especially with Bynum's synergy with his teammates rising, then you've got Kobe too, facing the new Big Three. Here's a rundown of my schedule here in the US.

December 21-22 LA county
23-25 San Diego
26-27 Las Vegas
28-January 1 LA county

Economic Illusion

Our currency here in the Philippines has "improved". From $1:P50+ it has become $P1:41+. Most countries have probably "improved" their economies as well, but notice how I used improve. It's contained in " ". So the title, Economic Illusion, kind of gives you an idea. Economies are not exactly rising. The United States economy's experiencing a very quiet freefall.

Our countries most probably have not (1) undergone better allocation(a sort of budgeting natural resources) and (2) natural resources do not sprout out of nowhere.

Number 1 isn't true unless your country has had a new administration or your government has found new ways to do allocation. It is most probably not true because for a lot of countries to have done that? I think not. The Philippines is a good example. We have the same government since 2001. Number 2 is naturally true. You don't pick up oil and gold like you pick apples and oranges.

Most people would say that is virtually impossible because the United States is an economic superpower. We know it, they're rich, got a powerful military force, and they generate all sorts of technology and then inject it to most countries in the world to westernize them.

We also know how most countries run to them for employment and a better life. This however is, to me(therefore this is an opinion), says why the United States is slowly climbing down the ladder. People above 60 usually from all sorts of countries go there to stay for an easier life. I also heard the US has taken in 6 million immigrants over the last 7 years from all over the world. That is true because I know, my relatives have gone there. The Philippines like it there. Me being here in the US, I witness most of it here in the West Coast, especially in California. I've seen Mexicans, Chinese, Filipinos and people from El Salvador(sorry I don't know what to call them). Of those 6 million people, a good percentage can give America benefits by giving medical service and the like, but a good percentage also contains the aged, those who are nearing the stage of not working.

People who reach 60 might not want to work anymore, so if people come here at the age of 57, they work for a while, put cash in the bank and wait for interest. Dont' get me wrong, that's good for money circulation. After 3 years of working then wait for citizenship. Once these senior citizens receive the pension, they won't work anymore because they have money they stored in the bank and money from pension.

If they don't work, the US will not be able to benefit from them anymore, but they will of course benefit from the pension. The US gives them pension, but the US doesn't get anything in return, meaning the government is bringing money out but they get so much less.

How will the Unites States fix this? The elections are coming and this is a good chance for the US to gradually recover from this freefall. The people must choose a president who will fix immigration. A good system is that the government must allow only young couples, families with children to go in, or not too old skilled workers, whether blue or white collar. Why? If you have a family going in the country, and there are young children, these children will of course study. Once they finish and work there, that's a big thing because educated people will be in you system. Not too old skilled workers can immidiately contribute to the system. Young couples can end up like the families.

Another reason why the quiet freefall is occuring: Lack of natural resources. The United States isn't a natural resource-rich country anymore. They've spent a lot of it already. It also doesn't have colonies like Mexico and the Philippines already, so their control is not total anymore, it is quite more little but not totally gone, because contracts with their colonies are still ongoing and they still can get resources but not much really.

Actually, most people laugh at this country, but Kazahkstan, yes, Kazahkstan, that unknown country is producing millions of barrels of oil everyday and a barrel costs a hundred dollars. It is such an economic superpower. My days of laughing at the unknown country are over after I found this out. Hell, they speak english well too. How did I know these? It's a really big secret. I really couldn't laugh at it because we Filipinos can't do anything with our economy to improve it. Kazahkstan is a really powerful country.

The last reason is that there is no war. The United States is known for its advanced warfare and when there is war, countries will buy from them, resulting in them earning money and raising their economy. There's no war so they can't rely on this.

So, countries shouldn't be too confident if their exchange rate is getting better, it's an Illusion. America's slowly falling, your country might just be stagnant or falling slower then US is.

Trying the NBA: LeBron James

All I can say is that I am sorry for LeBron because of the Cavaliers' bad record. His teammates are inconsistent. I mean, how can they beat Dallas and not beat New York? LeBron consistently puts up big numbers but his teammates are not showing a consistent effort.

Thanks for reading!

On Poverty

Hello again everyone! It took me quite a while to think of an idea and our Periodical Tests took too much of my time. Actually I thought about this only now. Hey, please answer the poll at the left side of the page. It isn't hard to find. Well, anyway...

Our class is going to do 2 music videos: 1 of which is going to tackle a social issue and the other is something "creative" or light. E-mail me at userneym@yahoo.com to suggest any ideas you could think of. We might just be able to use your skills on this kind of work.

If you visited my YouTube channel, you'll notice the five of us are kind of interested in doing our own Backstreet Boys music videos. If you happen to have time, visit it here. If you have any suggestions about any of their songs please tell me. Again, e-mail me at userneym@yahoo.com and voice out your opinions.

On Poverty

Here in the Philippines... We have a lot of houses practically made of... Rooftops. Yeah that's right, you heard me. ROOFTOPS. We also have townhouses beside railroads. Those are... Signs of Poverty. Poverty is best associated with the adjective Poor as in materially poor, not poor in spirit like what is written in the Holy Bible, not poor in mind like what boastful guys say. How are you materially poor?

1. You have no money
2. You have no properties to sell.
3. You don't eat 3 times a day.
4. You're struggling to get a job.

I'm not saying that poverty is only in the Philippines. It's practically everywhere. But how does anyone become poor?

In a country like the US, there are lots of job opportunities but somehow, some way, you'll find poor people. Here in the Philippines, there is this stupid mentality that when you have a lame job (i.e. janitor), you don't have the drive to work hard anymore because:

"Wala na tayong magagawa! Mahirap na tayo! Hindi na natin mababago 'yon!"

That's in our language, in English it's:

"There is nothing we could do! We're poor already! We can't change that!"

Most people would say that the reason people become poor is because of few job opportunities and little salary. Again, in the U.S., you don't have those problems. So what is the source of the problem? (This is the part where you think.)

Done thinking? (This is the part where you stop thinking even if you don't have an answer yet)

So let me tell you... It is the fault of the poor man himself. Why? Because he is lazy enough to not find a job. Or when he gets a job, he goes crazy and pities himself saying "Damn I'm so useless I'm poor I don't have a good job!" then stops working.

You must be saying now that I am heartless to not have pity for the less fortunate. I am a Catholic, so I should love them as they are the center of the teachings of Christ but these poor people are a prime example of one of the seven capital sins, Sloth. Not that I question the teachings, but Jesus wants us to help people who can't stand for themselves.

I am not blaming all the poor people, I blame the agents. Agents? Who are the agents of poverty? They are the ones who bring about poverty. I can classify the poor into two:

1. Agents
2. Purely poor

For example, an irresponsible but rich guy who still studies had sex with his girlfriend. And the bad thing happens. The girl's vommiting regularly. You know what this is. His parents find out then call him a disgrace and tells him to live responsibly, marry the woman and find a good job. The parents fund the marriage rites, but after that they practically disown him. He is left with no choice and resorts to a low earning job, as his wife chooses not to work.

The child is born and then they are unable to give the child all his needs because he gets fired everytime because og his absences in work. The guy already moved from one job to the other.

The child grew up skinny, and his father still can't find a job. The child can't read or write, but he wants to study. His dad comes home late everynight with a bottle of beer. One day, his father demands that he begs.

Now you see? These children are who we see at streets begging. So let us identify the

1. Agents
-Parents, because they were rich yet they didn't give any support to their son and they disown him.
-Guy, because he was an a$$hole
-Girl, because she was a $lut

Sorry for the language.

2. The only Purely Poor is the child. He is the one affected most by what everyone did. He can't go to school, begs at the streets. He has no room for hius dreams anymore.

I said I blame the agents. Agents are those who will cause poverty with their combined effects. Pity not all poor, because there are only a few deserving. The agents brought their fate of being poor to themselves and to their descendants. If only all the Agents worked hard, they could have prevented poverty, but instead they pity themselves and believe they will not be able to do anything.

It's a big hit in relationships to say "It's not you, it's me".

So.. It's not really he job opportunities. It's not even the low salary. It's the Agents. Damn the agents who can only pity themselves. Damn the agents who care not fot their descendants.

Trying the NBA: LeBron James

LeBron is hopefully back on fire after his 31 point 8 rebound 5 assist night in double overtime in a home win against the Bucks. I just hate that his supporting cast isn't as good as Kobe's right now. I thought they improved after last season's deep postseason. I guess I was wrong.

That's all folks, thank you for reading.

Say What You Mean, Mean What You Say

Hello everyone. Been thinking lately. Thinking a lot. Its already afternoon, what makes this afternoon pretty extraordinary is it only happens once a week. It's a Sunday afternoon. Kinda feels bad especially when you know you're going to wake up early tomorrow after a good 2 day break. One good thing is this weekend I finally set my mind on finishing Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. After that on January I'll grab Assassin's Creed(Yes, that PS3 and X360 game) because it'll come out as a PC game sometime around January. Hey, not a bad time for gaming. After Assassin's Creed came out, and that PS3 dropped to $399.99, it's a good season for gaming. Enough of gaming. Should I move on to my topic? Well... Duh. I suppose I should.

Say What You Mean, Mean What You Say

Just this year we studied German Literature and so we have to find out a bit of their culture first. We discussed about unique traits and a very good trait was that they do that topic. The topic's in bold letters. No questions asked. What does this mean? Let's do an example...

John: Hey Mary, you want to go to the park and take a walk?
Mary: Uhhmmmm... Sure...
John: Are you sure?
Mary: Uhhhmmm... Yes?
John: Really?
Mary: Yes...
John: So let's go now?
Mary: Sure...
John: Are you sure you want to go?
Mary: Yes...
John: Okay, let's go now.

If they were not German, read the entire text. If they were, ignore the italicized text. Are you getting this? Haha. It's pretty simple. Once a German says something, they really mean it. I wish most people could be like that.

Well, that situation is connected to my topic, but it's not the exact topic. I want to stress the times we say we're okay. The times we say we're down with stuff. You know how most of the time when you want to say no you end up saying it's ok?

***Mary is extremely sad because of her failing grades. She is therefore crying.
John: Hey, you ok?
Mary: I'm ok.

Are we sometimes put in that situation? I think so. Most of us just say we're ok because of a few reasons:

1. You don't want anyone to pity you.
2. You want to make the person asking go away.
3. You have no choice but to answer that.
4. Majority thinks it that way.
5. You don't want to offend the person.
6. You don't want to make the person mad.
7. You care too much for the person.
8. You want to make the person happy.

Cany you think of other reasons? I think you can. These are a few I can name.

Sometimes people are too weak to step up for their own opinions and too shy to declare new ideas, so they resort with the "It's Okay" response. I'm like that sometimes. When people resort to that, when the end comes in an unhappy way, the same people who say "It's Okay" blames people out of nowhere despite saying that he agrees.

Usually, when I say I'm Okay, I'm really not. When I say it in a largely weak manner you should be a hundred percent sure - It's a No. There are even times when I try to say and force people to think I'm okay when I'm not. It's not always the case. To those of you who know me, take note of that.

Let's say why we should say "No" and not "It's Okay" in the 8 reasons above. There's one primary reason: It's because the person you answered to really will think it's okay for you. He/She will take it as a yes. There are however reasons made especially for each number.

1. Someone should comfort you in your sadness because you can't always handle situations on your own. As long as there is someone who wants to help, that's a big bonus. And when someone pities you at least that person may understand how you feel.

2. Okay, you shouldn't do that if you want to make the person go away because that is BAD.

3. You always have a choice. We were born with freedom and it comes with the right to choose. there is no person that didn't make a choice his entire life.

4. That majority might think the same way you're thinking. If you express how you really feel, then maybe people may come out and say that they think the same way you do.

5. This is a good thing, but sometimes you have to offend people to make them improve. People have to know their faults and problems because it's a good start to fixing his wrongs. Knowing is always best for a person.

6. If you just don't want to make the person mad, that's a really lame thing because you yourself might hide your own bad feelings and it might result to an almost the same thing which is full of rage.

7 and 8. When you care too much and you want to make the person happy, time will come when you will realize that you have left little room for your own hapiness.

You should say how you really feel about something because you might end up blaming yourself for just the fact that you didn't say no. Time will come when this topic becomes a huge factor in your life. It's when you drop on your knees regretting the time you said "It's Okay". At this stage of your life it may seem like nothing but liek I said, and like most things, it will come.

So when a person answers you "It's Okay", think first before you judge it's really okay. "It's Okay" has recently meant the same as "No".

When you want to answer "It's Okay" and really fell like its a "No", think about what would happen when you answer like that.

LeBron is still recovering from his injury!

That is all, thank you for reading my blog. I hope you learned something.

Defending My Generation

I have a photo now! Hey everyone, it's me again. Duh. Who else would write in this blog? Haha. A bit bored now so I decided to write a new entry. I thought about my topic for about an hour now then we ate dinner and then, after dessert, I thought of a cool idea. That idea will be down there in a paragraph fashion. What a day it has been, all the wires. We made a parol today. I enjoyed it. Well, I also put the issue in Special Blog #1 away by the divine act of forgiveness and asking for it. Won't keep you waiting on another edition of my opinions, so here I go.

Defending My Generation

Every parent of the regular teenager today would say:

"Back in our day we used to climb trees, play outside. Now children are in their houses playing video games!"

Or something like:

"We didn't have those things when we were your age! You're too fast!"

They did say this though:

"The children are the future."

Tsk, tsk. How bad is that? They think that we teenagers are out of this world. Our parents and some other old guys think that we are immoral, lazy, indifferent, etcetera etcetera. But they say we are the future. They think we're not the way we're supposed to be. We are the liberal age. We don't live the old way. They say the old way is the right way, but I believe that they are just not thinking out of the box. We are the new people, and we try to discover new ways of living.

Sure, we have our flaws.

We have drug addicts, those who have too much problems and can't face them. The new generation of people just get into those stuff quickly. We have too many problems in too short a period of time. Maybe we think too much, maybe some of us just can't handle problems.

We also end up getting too lazy. Sometimes that's just the case, I really don't know why. Some of us also have babies at around 19, that's just wrong.

These are our flaws, but don't be lightning quick in judging that our generation is afterall one big mistake. We are yet to prove ourselves, and we will. Has our time come yet? No. Once our time comes, this world will see a new beginning, because we will change it.

Whatever you see of us now, it is not the real us. I mean, even Christ, God, answers to his mother in a somewhat rude fashion.

Here's a comparison. If you know the big brains of history, they were accused of being wrong as well.

Socrates was put into trial and then was punished by drinking poison. Athens was lost without him. Until now, his legcay lives. He has a lot of quotes too. He broke from the classical thinking.

When Galileo proposed that the in fact the Sun, not the Earth was not the center of the universe. Due to the fact that the Christians proposed in their teachings that Earth was the center, the people believed Galileo to be crazy. And, if it was proven that the Christians were wrong, that would lead to people not believing the faith anymore. The priests were using fear in that time to abuse their powers. Galileo was condemned, I think.

Leonardo Da Vinci, a.k.a. Renaissance Man, had new ideas in his works, especially his paintings and discoveries.

The Period of Renaissance itself is a period of a lot of new things. These new things are the ones we adore today. Those discoveries, those men. Are we not parallel to their time? Are we not the ones trying to reach into what lies beyond what we already know?

Give us a chance. A chance to prove ourselves. On this blog entry, I say now that we will be the one to be adored in the future for our generation's new ideas. Do not judge us by what you see now, because you are all yet to see the greatness of our generation. We are going to overcome our wrongs and rise up. Here we are, the second coming of Renaissance.

I won't write on LeBron yet, he's still injured.

Some Changes, Martial Law and Antonio Trillanes IV

Hello everyone to another blog entry of mine. I've been trying to write about my nearing vacation and how good it feels to relax in the United States, but it's a few weeks away. I can't write nicely on it yet. So... I've made

Some Changes

I will not say anymore of "Next Time on My Blog".
I will not have definite sections in my blog.
There will be no definite time for me to write in my blog.

Ok, so that clears it. I had a difficult time following my own set rules. That makes it a lot easier.

Martial Law and Antonio Trillanes IV

The Philippines forever haunted by nightmares, and there was no more devastating nightmare than the Martial Law from 1972-1981. President Ferdinand Marcos extended his term 14 more years, until he is stopped by the historic bloodless revolution in the People Power movement.

In that 9 years was born arguably the Philippines' darkest age. I didn't get to experience that, I was born in 1991. Though I was not alive at that time, I know quite enough. History teachers in my school are good, and our Languages teacher in Filipino made us watch a documentary. People were framed up to be arrested and then killed. Everything was put under check by the President. The people he hated were arrested without warrants because of the suspension of the writ of habeas corpus, which requires warrants before a citizen is arrested. Well, imagine that.

At the present day, it is not forgotten but is hardly felt until it lingered just a few days ago, November 29,2007, when Senator Antonio Trillanes IV walked out of his hearing in the Makati Regional Trial Court. After he walked out, he went to the Manila Peninsula in the business sector of Makati City, the center of the Philippine Economy. He invaded that hotel along with his Magdalo military friends, taking hostage with him the media and a few civilians. They were given a deadline of 3:00 in the afternoon to give up but they didn't. The Police opened fire. At night the problem was settled. Trillanes said he showed the nation how hungry the Administration is to get power.

Trillanes proved nothing. He was hostile and he was given a deadline to surrender but he didn't comply. If his goal was to open minds, it wasn't an effective way. Is he crazy? it's his fault anyways. None of this would have happened without him. If the administration was that hungry for power, all Oppostion party members would have been dying one by one, if not dead already.

He only paved the way for a second coming. What second coming? The martial law. This is the same with the reason Marcos put up Martial Law in 1972. Hostile attacks. In Marcos' time there was a chain of bombing of stores in Manila and thus Marcos said everything has to be under control so he put up Martial Law. He had right reasons which were probably framed up. This time around, the Magdalo military friends attacked a hotel, which is also a good reason.

Don't get me wrong, the Administration has its share of hunger for power. The president wanted a charter change that would change the system of the government to Parliamentary type, so that if she is not president anymore, she could assume the position of Prime Minister. Such power a Prime Minister would have. This is a chance they can capitalize on to have something close to a Parliamentary Government, Martial Law.

What am I trying to say? I am saying that Trillanes was stupid to contradict his beliefs, because with what he did, he only made the Administration closer to the power which they desire. It's like saying you don't want to go to school because you're already smart, but you turned off a Television by pulling the plug. Thank you.

Trying the NBA: LeBron James

LeBron James was stellar against Boston when he closed them out with his free throws. Not to mention his highlight reel moves. His blocks. his lay ups. My favorite was when he left Kevin Garnett to go to the basket for 2 points. He had 38 points, 11 in overtime, 13 assists and 4 rebounds. It's bad he was injured in the game against Detroit, where he had 15 points in the 1st half. At halftime the were down by 5, then when LeBron didn't enter the 2nd half, they were outscored by 30. That only proves that the Cavaliers' MVP is LeBron. I hope he heals in time for another game against Boston's big 3.

That is all for my blog entry. Thank you.

Blog Inspiration, An Attempt On Something Amazing, My Youtube Account, Trying The NBA

Hello everyone and welcome to the 2nd entry of my blog! Just to today I checked on the NBA results and saw that LeBron actually beat Boston! Woo... That shocked me. I didn't expect it. Tomorrow I'll go to school to another boring day, because the day after tomorrow we'll have no classes and we're in store for a three day weekend.

I mean, do you know that feeling that when tomorrow's special, the day before that's all you think about so everything else goes boring? That's the feeling. Well, I won't keep you waiting.

Blog Inspiration

Well, I've been reading Gilbert Arenas' blog on the NBA and thought about it. Maybe I could make one myself and open up to that blog as though it was someone I can actually talk to. He's good at doing that. He's quite talkative and I'll try to be like him. It's amazing how he can expound on his blog. He also puts stuff in there as if he was talking to the reader.

He was also voted for best celebrity blogger and beat people like Donald Trump and he beat a guy from Star Trek by a slim margin. He even had the T-Shirt which has this written on it: "If noone votes for me, I won't write anymore blogs". Kinda cool. He openly speaks in that blog like he was scared of noone.

That's not even mentioning his skill in playing ball, he's a real good scorer. Too bad he's injured and isn't going to be back for 3 months.

Les Miserables: An Attempt On Scomething Amazing

My class is trying to do a musical wherein we would use songs from the actual Les Miserables concert. It's quite ambitious if you ask me but it would be well worth a try. If we accomplish this properly, that would be HUGE. In the rich 32 years of our school, we are the first to try to imitate an already ridiculously great musical in Les Miserables.

On us accomplishing that, that would stamp our names in the school's memories as one of the best ever sections to study in our school's campus. But we had to be tested before we enter the Auditorium to prersent there. Well, on our screening, it didn't look like it would happen.

We tried, we tried. But we came up with something which was commented "very good for a student". That hurts a lot. We wanted this to come up big. We came up short because there was a bit of curse on that day. The songs were better in practices than they were in the actual screening. It's just like in my case, it was my off key day. I forgot to tell you I'm taking on a role that sings. In case you would know who this guy is, I'm taking on Enjolras.

It's a good thing that our teacher told us the day before that noone ever gets through screening before she redirects a production. Now we're going to redirect it and we're scheduled to present some time in January. I'm saying now that it would be good. I have new and high hopes for our class right now. We were only made stronger by the fact that we got rejected, and the criticisms only fed us with more power.

My Youtube Account

So... I'm here to promote my youtube channel. You can find it at:

http://www.youtube.com/userneym

I have cool videos there. Well, be sure to check it out.

Trying The NBA: LeBron James

Well, LeBron has been teriffic, need I say more? Noone can top the way he's been playing lately. He also had that 48 point performance aganst Detroit in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals en rout to a Finals appearance, his latest accomplishment is him beating Boston and it's big 3. He's gonna be MVP if he keeps playing lke this. With that, everytime I write a blog, I'll be checking on him.

Next Time on my Blog: Nearing Vacation, The Amazing USA

Special Blog Entry #1

I'm actually supposed to write blog entries every other day, but this one is urgent. I won't write on the topics I said I was going to write now. This is a special blog entry for my classmates alone. IV-ZDN, I was not able to attend your open forum today, November 27, 2007, scheduled for 4-5pm. I know most of you probably jumped the gun and said Mikko is actually the guy who had all the difficulties, but hey. Here goes my side.

Trash Talking
-To those of you who were grossed out by the language I used to express myself, I am sorry. I apologize. But that doesn't cut it. Ask this to yourselves. Were you supposed to read that archive? You had no business. You shouldn't care. If ever you were grossed out, that's his fault not mine. I didn't show you the message. He did. All I did was trash talk, sure that was wrong, but tell it to the entire world, that's not even close to being right. I talked to him in Yahoo! Messenger to show it to him privately. Come on. Do you actually think I would have said all those stuff in front of lots of people? So it's his fault that you had to witness my wrathful language, not mine. I never wanted you people to see that. It's the same as telling a secret to someone, then that someone announces it.

Why, Cholo, Why?
-The question has to be running in your mind. Well, he's boastful, and he thinks he's superior. Let's get things straight. In the Les Mis preparations, from day one, he felt superior. Sure, he knew everything. But that's not enough to go about telling people who are auditioning they're all wrong. Then he shows you how to do it. That's degrading. You try your best and you're still practicing, then some small guy comes in front of you and then tells you you're wrong. I mean, you're auditioning and you're clueless on how to sing the song. Don't tell me he just cares, because the way he says it especially to me is different. Then you get the song right, but he's not contented. He asks for more then he sings it. Well, I suppose not everyone has an idea of what it feels like to be treated like that. Cause not everyone's as stupid as I am when it comes to singing. I guess now you know what I hate. Not everyone feels it.

The Rights of People In Charge
-This is especially for the Les Mis presentation. First off, Eirish, it's ok. This is to prevent mistakes. I write this for the sake of understanding eachother and correcting mistakes.
1. You have no right to tell us that what we do is crap. It's more difficult to sing and act than to just watch and get frustrated. We don't get everything right but say it in a nice way.
2. You have no right to get mad at people who don't go to school at 5am because they know what happends to 5am practices.

Thank you. Sebastian, I live in Las Pinas City, Metro Manila, Philippines. I am 16 and am now a 4th year high school student. I study in Elizabeth Seton School. Basic info.

This is my first ever blog entry in my first ever attempt to make a blog...

So what about blogs? Blogs let you express your thoughts on things. Well, I've been wanting to express my opinions lately. And probably let people know how I feel about stuff that's been happening, that's the reason for this blog.

Well... The CREED letter in our school during this time is E for Excellence. By the way, Creed stands for:

Commitment to Faith
Respect
Excellence
Empowerment
Dedicated Service

Academic Week is at the season of Excellence. The Academic Week lets you showcase your talent through contests. When you win contests, you get incentives, and of course, honor. Fulfillment. We focused on three activities this Academic Week.

1. Asik
-A slave dance wherein the umbrella girl makes her entrance to make way for the singkil dance. It's ridiculous actually, we're required to put in 20 students to perform, but we were given a dance wherein only one person dances. Crazy, huh? We won this one though, champion. I was the guy who plays the gong. Fun part for me. I slam the gong around 8 times.

2. Bubble Math
-One goal, make people laugh while using Math terms. Well, we tried the concept of PingPong matrix(the one you can find in youtube) and we ssucceeded using blacklight. We had SpiderMan vs. Green Goblin in Filipino and English language. Kind of cool actually, especially the curses like Mother Functions and Holy Shintegers. I was one of the guys who carried Spiderman and a skit actor. We also were champions this time.

3. You against the Horde
-I was a host here, inspired by the Gameshow 1 vs 100. Robert and I hosted this one and it was exhausting. We were on stage for like 3 hours. There were 5 sets all in all, 1st-4th yr then mixed year levels. I got a certificate for this one.

There was another contest in a subject wherein you had a group to work with. With this group of around 8, you make a commercial. There are 3 possible awards, Best Soundtrack, People's Choice and Best Commercial. Should you win one of the awards, your section is entitled to a perfect periodical exam. Well, my group won the Best Soundtrack, chosen by me. I also edted the commercial and was camera man.

Ekonomista
-My social sciences teacher let me join in an economics quiz bee wherein 11 "prominent" high schools in Manila would compete. This was held at De La Salle University - Taft at the new building. Well, I studied and we had a good time competing. It was a team competition and I was with Anthony and Ron. God, they're geniuses. We won 2nd place with P4500 prize money. Philippine Science High School won 1st place with a big lead and La Immaculada Conepcion won 3rd. By the way, Philippine Science High School has such amazing and advanced minds.

Excellence
-I conclude that this Academic Week, November 19-24, 2007, I have lived up to what this Excellence really is. Excellence is where heart and mind becomes one to produce big things. I won 3 awards for myself, first I was a host, I made a good musical scoring and I won second place in an Interschool competition. This week was my big break. Finally with the interschool win, I can hear not just my name in Graduation.

Next time on my blog: Where I got the idea of blogging, thoughts on our class' Les Miserables musical, my youtube account and the videos in it and my insights on NBA Player LeBron James' performance as of late.

Visit my youtube Channel:
http://www.youtube.com/userneym
